Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CerVault platform operated by Kalski Data Services, Triq Guzepp Vella, XWK-2650 Gozo, Republic of Malta ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or submitting a certificate for verification, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CerVault provides a professional certificate and credential verification service. Users may upload copies of their certificates, degrees, and qualifications. We analyse and verify the submitted documents and display a "Verified by CerVault" badge on the user's public profile.

2. Verification Process

Submitted documents are processed using automated AI-assisted analysis as a first step. Where our system cannot confirm authenticity with sufficient confidence — particularly for academic degrees, diplomas, and professional qualifications — we reserve the right to contact the issuing institution directly (e.g. the university, school, or awarding body) to verify the authenticity of your certificate. By submitting a document, you explicitly consent to us making such enquiries on your behalf.

Verification is typically completed within 1–3 business days. Results may vary depending on the responsiveness of the issuing institution.

3. User Obligations

4. Free Service

CerVault provides certificate and identity document verification free of charge. There are no fees for creating an account, submitting certificates, or requesting verification. We reserve the right to introduce pricing in the future with reasonable advance notice to registered users.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software on CerVault is owned by Kalski Data Services or licensed to us. You retain ownership of any documents you upload; by uploading them you grant us a limited licence to process them solely for the purpose of providing the verification service.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our verification service constitutes a reasonable-effort assessment based on available information. We do not guarantee employment outcomes or third-party acceptance of our verification results. To the maximum extent permitted by Maltese and EU law, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta and, where applicable, EU law including the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
